“We are required under Consumer Protection Distance Selling Regulations, to inform you that if you book a conference or buy goods or services from us, you will have seven days after booking, in which, if you change your mind for any reason, you may unconditionally cancel the contract in writing, or by email, and you will be given a full refund. Any accommodation element of the booking is exempted from the seven day cooling off period.”

If live surgery is scheduled for a conference, it is always subject to the proviso that the operating theatres are not required for emergency surgery. For this reason unlike a lecture the activity cannot be guaranteed. Secondly, as the majority of those presenting are also working doctors the presence of an individual cannot be assumed, but we will always strive for a suitable replacement. Finally, Medlink and The Workshop reserve the right to make any changes to the events if circumstances dictate.
The courses will be held at the University of Nottingham main campus and occasionally the Jubilee campus, The Medlink Exhibition will be in the East Midlands Conference Centre, situated on the campus. Overnight accommodation for Medlink and other Workshop conferences will be in one of the halls of residence on the main or Jubilee campuses. The Pathology option will be held on either the nearby Jubilee campus, with overnight accommodation there or at the main campus; details will be given in our brochure. Please note that it is a condition of acceptance that you remain on the campus at all times.
Delegates should be aware that they are responsible for their personal
property and should arrange their own insurance for items of value.
Items of value should be kept secure about you at all times.
No closing date applies for bookings, and delegates will be accepted as
long as places are available. Early booking is recommended to avoid
disappointment but telephone enquiries are welcome to check
availability. Information will also be posted on our website, where
bookings may be made by credit card. Should places be unavailable, fees
will be returned in full, but a reserve list will be held in
anticipation of late cancellations.
By accepting your place at The Workshop it is understood that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions and the code of conduct (link to code of conduct). The Workshop also reserves the right to change without notice those lectures and presentations advertised should circumstances dictate. It should be noted that delegates must be at least 16 at the time of the course. Those over 21 years will still be accepted, but will be placed in campus accommodation separate from the younger students.
The Workshop and Medlink conferences should not be viewed as standard school outings or trips. Whilst all steps have been taken to comply with health and safety standards and in most instances to go beyond what is required, The Workshop and Medlink events are only suitable for mature young people with a proven sense of responsibility. Further whilst The Workshop and Medlink conferences are extremely valuable courses, it should be understood that Medlink is not necessary for an application to medical school nor are The Workshop conferences necessary for application to relevant universities.
